Our story
The vision of the Ladies in Pearls Serving, Inc. (L.I.P.S.) was given to Rosa L. Thomas-Webb, as she laid on her bedroom floor preparing for her final exam while a student at Beulah Heights University, Atlanta, Georgia. The non-profit was initially formed in Alton, Illinois, but was relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2011.
2005
The beginning of everything
Founded and birthed in 2005 in Alton, IL by Founder, Evangelist Rosa L. Thomas-Webb.
2006
Chapter in St. Louis launched
Each member embraces the Trademark of L.I.P.S.,
which is the wearing of White Stranded Pearl Necklaces/Bracelets that symbolize that we are not women of perfection, but women of work in progress.
2011
Chapter in Atlanta launched
Our volunteers help cater their time and energy to women who are less fortunate. Atlanta volunteers are critical to hosting our Mothers of the Heart Luncheon for those who have lost a child.
